Free developer file mirroring

MacUpdate now provides free file hosting for Macintosh developers. Instead of creating a complicated file management system with server clusters for hosting, we integrated the file upload and management seamlessly into the developer submission system. A user simply needs to mark the checkbox on the submission page, saying they would rather have MacUpdate host the file. Then on the next page they select the file on their Macintosh and click the upload button. We handle the rest in a completely automated process.

We wanted the process to be seamless and simple without the need for a manual or instructions. I think we nailed it on the spot. The upload processes even uses some sleek AJAX technology to display a live progress bar as the file uploads from within your browser window.
